5 PaddleExpo Questions answered by Schmitti from FANATIC

This year, in early October, I had the chance to see the new FANATIC 2020 range at Paddle Expo in Nuremberg. Initially, I planned to take tons of pictures and really give you guys an impression, but when I arrived at the booth I was instantly wrapped up in a light and fun conversation about SUP that I have to admit my footage is unfortunately very little. Nevertheless, the impression FANATIC made, once more as a brand, is that they are near their costumers and listens to new trends and end-costumer demands.

Bevor we dive into Schmitti’s answers find a recap of my 5 Questions below:

  1. What is new in 2020?
  2. What is your personal favorite from the 2020 range?
  3. What are trends to look out for in 2020?
  4. What are you wearing for winter SUP?
  5. What is your training strategy in short?

This is what Schmitti answered:

What is new in 2020?

Schmitti did not answer, but you can find my Blog Post on the new FANATIC 2020 Range here.

What is your personal favorite from the 2020 range?

Schmitti loves the new design FANATIC came up with and really likes the 12.6 Touring Board.

One of the new Touring Board options displayed at the Paddle Expo 2019

What are trends to look out for in 2020?

Once more – and you might have guessed it already – SUP Foiling and Wingfoiling made the list for a trend to watch out for in 2020.

What are you wearing for winter SUP?

Men can be so simple when it comes to cloth. Schmitti is wearing long underwear for winter SUP. As he did not specify if this is all he is wearing, I would highly recommend to everyone who is reading this to wear long underpants underneath a drysuit. 🙂

What is your training strategy in short?

Schmitti is counting on Intervalltraining when it comes to his SUP regime. He is using Intervals of 60/ 120/ 60 seconds in a training session.
